It is such a wonderful place...I could never imagine so many people so close...walking...riding in their cars...Oh my the cars! honking and swerving and wooshing by one so close...and aeroplanes and great huge ships that come to New York from far away places like England and Europe and oh it is just so so big and loud and busy! I can barely catch my breath. Today we went to see the statue of Liberty...we took a big boat called a ferry and what a beautiful island the statue is on! From the island with the statue we could see so many of the buildings along what they call the skyline...Manhattan!....buildings like the Empire State building and oh my so many many huge buildings....it's terribly exciting. I'm in a whirl with all the excitement. We are going to go to Coney Island and ride the ferris wheel after this...I can't wait and then in a few days we'll be getting ready for our trip to....Canada! That's right! I'm going to the eastern part of Canada....Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island...I'll tell you more about that soon... right now I hear Auntie Patti calling me to get ready for the ferry ride back to the City...Oh and before I forget did you see my wings today! When I woke up they were all of these wonderful colors of pink and green and yellow and glittery....it's as if they new I'd be doing something special today and wanted to look especially pretty! Oh...I have to go I hear the ferry boat horn! I am just the luckiest girl in the world today!...well we're getting ready to leave....<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/30534595-115185260605820438?l=sallysartjourney.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Sally Jeanne Marshallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15387400151655244661noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30534595.post-1151816960010693472006-07-01T22:00:00.000-07:002006-07-01T22:09:20.010-07:00Well Auntie Patti and Uncle Tommy and I have all our luggage packed and we ready to go on our big adventure...I don't know what it's going to be like and I'm a little scared but my Auntie Patti reads me the bible every day so that I'm not scared and I've been memorizing scripture so I can show Mommy and Daddy what a good girl I have been...The verse we studied this morning as we are leaving on our trip was II Corinthians 5:7 ...for we walk by faith, not by sight- My Auntie Patti told me that because we believe in Jesus and that we live each day for our Father in Heaven that we don't have to worry about what new things we will face because we walk in faith that God is taking care of us...Always! They sent me to Los Angeles to live with my Auntie Patti cuz they are working so hard to buy a house and the little apartment that they have is too small for all three of us...and they thought it would be nice if I spent a year or two in the States....I like it much better here cuz we get to go to the beach and stuff and the weather is always sunny and we have our very own orange tree in the back yard (my Auntie Patti and Uncle Tommy have a beautiful house in a place called Hollywood..(that's where a lot of famous actors and actresses live we have a theatre here where they show these things called a movie...they are moving pictures on a great big screen with the words on it and a man plays the organ..it's so much fun)...but I really miss mommy and daddy!
